This publication was produced by the education committee to commemorate the 125th anniversary of Aurora Psychiatric Hospital. It includes articles on the history of the institution, such as psychiatric trends from 1884 to 1914, the study of hypnosis, "psychological testing," and the beginnings of the psychiatric hospital in Wauwatosa.

A History of the Augustana Hospital School of Nursing : 1938-1987

Augustana Hospital School of Nursing, Chicago, IL: This book was compiled in 1998 by Augustana Alumnae. Part 1 includes a summary of "The History of the Augustana Hospital School of Nursing from 1884-1938" written in 1938. Part 2 includes the nursing school history from the 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s. It is filled with images of nursing students and stories of their training and their time working in the hospital. Part 3 includes a poems written by alumni. Part 4 includes a listing of missionaries and Augustana graduates.
From the Epilogue: Augustana Hospital was taken over by Lutheran General Health Systems in 1987 and renamed Lutheran General Hospital - Lincoln Park. The hospital closed December 8, 1989. Some of the Augustana Hospital Chapel windows were moved to and dedicated at the A.D. Johnson Memorial Chapel of Lutheran General Hospital on December 5, 1991.

The manual includes a list of administrators, medical staff, student/resident rules and responsibilities, dress code, payroll information, general hospital policies such as visiting hours, areas that allowed smoking, and a directory including specific department information.
