St. Luke's Medical Center: A general history of Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, describing the institution's start as Malone Hospital in 1903, to the renaming of St. Luke's Hospital in 1928, the move to the current Oklahoma Avenue site in the 1950s, and the formation of Aurora Health care in 1987 when Good Samaritan merged with Mount Sinai Medical Center. The article describes the continuing addition of beds and services, as well as key medical advancements at the hospital in the fields of cardiology, obstetrics, and oncology.
