Invited speaker for an oral presentation for ECHO India which is a virtual platform created for international collaboration between physicians in India and US to educate primary care physicians in India regarding complications of COVID.
Abstract
Protocols for management of respiratory symptoms of COVID-19 are well recognized but no clear-cut guidance on follow up of neurological sequalae of the disease. Reviewing post COVID clinic screening tools and recognizing that:
•Neurologic complications are higher in critically ill ICU patients
•Patients with progressive neurological symptoms should be monitored and risk factors treated
•Strong need to monitor the mental well being of patients in the months following diagnosis of COVID-19
