Abstract

The article focuses on the development of a reliable compensation plan for physicians. In creating such plan, it must provide successful physician recruitment, engagement and retention and address salary guarantee, productivity, value-based component and teaching and administration. Tips for developing such plan include evaluation of benchmarks, creation of guidelines based on the principles of being fair and transparent, financial sustainability and value-based care, and implementation.
