Abstract
The article discusses the evolution of health care consumerism in the provision of medical care and the drivers of the consumerism movement. Other topics include how the health care system can be used as platform for driving success in a medical practice, the need to address cost and experience in a consumer-focused system, and the transformations in health care with respect to factors like cost, quality, and providers.
