Aurora Sinai Medical Center, Milwaukee, WI: James Hurwitz, Linda Fine, and Dr. Richard Hurwitz (left to right) at an open house on November 7, 2016, at the Aurora Sinai Medical Center Hurwitz Medical Library. The event celebrated the 100 year anniversary of Dr Sidney P Hurwitz’s birth. Hurwitz, a Milwaukee native, was a member of the executive committee at Mount Sinai Hospital and a chef of urology. After Hurwitz’s death in 1968, the medical community established the Sidney P Hurwitz Memorial Library Fund, which subsidizes the purchase of clinical materials for the library.
