Aurora Sinai Medical Center, located at 12th and Kilbourn in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has a rich history encompassing three predecessor hospitals. The origins can be traced back to 1863 when Milwaukee Hospital was founded, to 1903 when Mount Sinai Hospital was organized, and to 1910 when Evangelical Deaconess Hospital was established.

In 1966 Milwaukee Hospital changed its name to Lutheran Hospital of Milwaukee. In 1980 Lutheran Hospital and Evangelical Deaconess Hospital merged and formed Good Samaritan Medical Center.

In 1984 Good Samaritan Medical Center and St. Luke's Medical Center, located on Milwaukee's south side, formed an affiliation called St. Luke's Samaritan Health Care. This partnership was the first in the Milwaukee area of two formerly independent hospitals.

In 1987 Good Samaritan Medical Center and Mount Sinai Medical Center merged to become Sinai Samaritan Medical Center. The partnership formed in 1984 changed its name to Aurora Health Care, and Sinai Samaritan Medical Center later became Aurora Sinai Medical Center.
