Abstract
Polls at American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing conferences revealed nurses' active participation in quality measurement but limited involvement in selecting nursing-sensitive indicators (NSIs). Findings highlight the need to engage nurses in defining NSIs to better demonstrate nursing's value in ambulatory care.
