Description
In 1974, Mr. Gerald E. Schley became the 6th President of the Milwaukee Psychiatric Hospital. He served from 1974-1996. He guided the hospital through a period of relative stability and growth. One of the highlights of his tenure was the construction of the new psychiatric hospital in 1982. In 1996, Mr. Schley stepped down as the last President of the Milwaukee Psychiatric Hospital. Due to the hospital joining Aurora Health Care in 1992, there would be no more Presidents of the hospital. They would be referred to as "Executive Directors".
